CUNEO

Cuneo: the highest provincial capital in Italy and the Italian capital of brown, which the residents have been able to transform into a highly respected confectionery specialty, skilfully combining it with chocolate!

Founded in 1198, on a triangular plateau, from which the city itself took its name, the city offers some artistic and architectural beauties to visit: the monumental complex of S. Francesco, numerous churches, Villa Oldofredi Tadini (inserted in the de Castelli circuit Open ”and open to visitors in the Piedmont region) and above all 8km of city arcades that trace the history of the city from the Middle Ages to the post-war period.

At the roots of the ancient mighty walls, curtains of green have sprung up that sink into the park around the city and extend into the numerous avenues and gardens, along the tree lined with lights and shadows of Viale Angeli, facing verndo Capitteo lade

For the sacrifices of her comments and for her activity in the partisan struggle, Cuneo was awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor on 1 August 1947.

Not surprisingly, the monument to the Italian Resistance was built in Cuneo.

Equipped car parks are available in the city for parking tourist vehicles and loading / unloading passengers.
